Welcome!

Using Sora by Overdrive, the Middle and Upper School Library provides hundreds of ebooks (and even a few audiobooks) that you can borrow and read on a phone, tablet, laptop or Kindle. Let us know if you have any questions!

You will need your Spence username and password in order to use your Sora account.

Can't find the ebook you want?  Please complete the form below to make a recommendation. If the book is available and a good fit for the collection, the library staff will add it.

Connect to Sora at Spence

 

1a. For a phone or tablet: Find the Sora app in the Apple App Store or Google Play store and download it.

 

1b. For a desktop or laptop computer, use your web browse to go to: https://soraapp.com/library/spenceny

 

OR

 

Use the Chrome menu in your Spence Google account to find the app.

2. Select Find my School.

 

3. Unless you are physically close to Spence, Spence will not pop up automatically, so you'll need to search for Spence. Touch "This is my school" under Middle and Upper Schools.

 

4. In the pull-down menu, students should choose The Spence School. Faculty and staff should choose Faculty and Staff.

 

5. You can authenticate using our Spence Google credentials:
