2024 Spring English Colonies Project: Visual Display Requirements

Source: Library of Congress, 1777

A tri-fold board. Your group will get your own board!

Ms. Bennett and Ms. Nishimoto spoke with the director of The English Colonial Museum yesterday. She was thrilled to hear how well your research is coming along. Given this, the director delivered the tri-fold poster boards for your visual. She does have a few museum requirements that you must keep in mind while creating your display.

HOW YOUR POSTER BOARD SHOULD LOOK:

  1. TITLE: Your board must have a prominent title that relates clearly to the colony you are representing.
  2. RESEARCH: Your board must include information about all eight categories that you researched
  3. PARAGRAPHS: Your information must be presented in paragraph form. Please ensure you use your notes as a basis for your writing.
  4. TYPED: All the information on your board, other than the title, must be typed. The font should be easy to read and no smaller than 24 point.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION TO INCLUDE ON YOUR POSTER BOARD:

  1. MAP: You must include one map of your colony on your board.
  2. ARTIFACT: For each artifact, please include a drawing/picture of the artifact. In addition, include the name, who used it, what it was used for, and how it was used.
  3. CREATIVE ELEMENT: The director of the museum recognizes that you may have additional information that you want to share. She agreed with Ms. Bennett and Ms. Nishimoto that you should have the freedom to include another element for your museum table; however, she wants your teachers to approve the additional display.
