2024 Spring - Dances from Around the World

Be sure to take careful notes AND keep track of where you get all of the information you use for this project.

How?

For each new source, open this MS Dance Research Note Sheet in Google Docs, make a copy (and include your name when you re-name it!) and record:

1. The title of the article or video

2. The author (if there is one - there might not be!)

3. The name of the website or library database

4. The URL or website address for the resources.

Do this before you start taking notes!  This helps to ensure that you keep track of where each piece of information is coming from. Here is the  MS Dance Research Note Sheet you should use to record your research notes!

Remember, when you are taking notes:

  • Keep notes separately for each source that you use

  • Put the information in your own words

  • Be efficient - no need for complete sentences!

  • Try using the left-hand column for any overall categories you might find...and the right hand column for the details related to those categories.

Record source information (title, author, date, etc.) for each source. Note: you may not be able to find all of the information at the top of your research notes sheet, and that’s okay!  If you can’t find it, just leave it blank!
