To search NYC Service, select the "FIND AN ORGANIZATION" link under the "VOLUNTEERS" tab.
Then search by keyword or select a category.
New York Cares
"New York Cares is now the city's largest volunteer management organization, running volunteer programs for 1,300 nonprofits, city agencies, and public schools." This site lists individual opportunities, look through the organizations listing the volunteer opportunities.
VolunteerMatch.org
"VolunteerMatch offers a variety of online services to support a community of nonprofit." This is a well organized website with numerous volunteer opportunities available in New York.
