Banned Books Week 2024: Home

What is Banned Books Week?

Banned books are materials that are challenged in libraries, bookstores, and schools. It is usually during the last week of September and highlights the importance to read freely and have open access to information, as well as encouraging librarians, educators, librarians, booksellers, writers, and readers to seek and express ideas.

If you'd like to suggest a banned or challenged book for the library to order, please complete the Library's Book Request form.
